By purchasing a service from Hourglass Media ("we," "us," or "our"), you ("Client") agree to the following terms.

1. Services & Payment

Services, deliverables, prices, and applicable currencies are as displayed on our website at the time of purchase. Prices are subject to change without notice but will not affect confirmed orders.

Full payment is required before work begins. Each purchase covers one song unless otherwise specified. Additional services or work outside the purchased scope may incur extra charges.

2. File Submission & Turnaround

Clients must provide complete, properly organized audio files through an accessible download link, along with any relevant instructions or references.

Standard turnaround times are:

  • Mastering: 3 business days

  • Mixing or Mixing & Mastering combinations: 10 business days

Business days exclude weekends and Ontario statutory holidays. Turnaround begins once payment, usable files, and necessary instructions are received.

Timelines are estimates for initial delivery and exclude revisions. Any significant delays will be communicated.

3. Revisions

Each service includes two rounds of reasonable revisions per song.

Revision requests must be submitted within 7 calendar days of receiving each delivered version. Requests should be consolidated into a single list per round.

Revisions cover adjustments to the existing work. It does not cover new recordings, significant production changes, or complete rebuilds. Additional work may incur extra charges.

Projects are considered approved and completed if no revisions are requested within the specified period, subject to applicable legal rights.

4. Delivery & File Retention

Completed files will be delivered through a shareable download link using Dropbox, Google Drive, or an equivalent service. Anyone with the link may be able to access the files.

Deliverables are determined by the purchased service as described on our website. DAW project files and internal processing materials are not included unless otherwise agreed.

Completed files and download links will remain available for at least 90 calendar days following final delivery. After this period, they may be permanently removed without notice.

Clients are responsible for downloading, storing, and backing up their own files.

5. Cancellations & Refunds

All sales are final and non-refundable once work has commenced, except where required by law.

Fees cover the services performed, regardless of whether the Client uses, releases, or distributes the completed work. Changes in creative preference, decisions not to use the work, or rejection by third parties do not independently qualify for refunds.

Cancellation requests before work begins may be considered. If we cannot fulfill a purchased service, an appropriate resolution or refund will be provided.

Nothing in this Agreement overrides applicable consumer protection rights.

6. Ownership & Portfolio Rights

Clients retain ownership of their original recordings and compositions. Upon full payment, Clients may commercially use and distribute the completed work without additional royalties owed to Hourglass Media. Any copyrightable contributions made specifically for the final deliverables are assigned to the Client, excluding our pre-existing tools and proprietary materials.

Hourglass Media retains the right to showcase any submitted audio we work on, including completed recordings and excerpts, for portfolio, demonstration, and promotional purposes.

By purchasing our services, the Client grants Hourglass Media a perpetual, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence for these purposes, including website and social media use, regardless of whether the song is publicly released.

This does not transfer ownership or permit us to independently sell the music as a commercial release.

Clients confirm they have the necessary rights and permissions for all submitted material and authorized portfolio uses, including any required third-party approvals. Clients are responsible for claims arising from unauthorized material they provide, to the extent permitted by law.

Private project information will remain confidential, except for the permitted portfolio uses.

7. General Terms

Hourglass Media will provide services with reasonable care and professional skill but cannot guarantee specific creative results or commercial success.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the purchased service, excluding liability that cannot legally be limited.

This Agreement is governed by Ontario law, subject to applicable mandatory consumer protections. Terms may be updated without notice for future purchases.

By completing a purchase, the Client confirms acceptance of this Agreement, including its revision, refund, and portfolio usage provisions.
